Stump City project completed
Street trees in Plymouth are being felled and not replaced. This is the issue highlighted by STRAW Plymouth's latest project - Stump City.
Using Google Street View, STRAW were able to make a record of thousands of street trees which are no longer standing in Plymouth.
Obviously, sometimes trees reach the end of their lives or become dangerous and need felling but, the big question is, why are they not replaced?
The images have been made into a slideshow with accompanying music, featuring sound clips from Council meetings. If you want to watch the whole slideshow, you will need bout 5 and a half hours.
